Cock Hero

A fox lived in  a forest near a farm-house. The fox was very clever. One morning the fox came out from his den for food. He was very hungry. Suddenly it heard a crowing of a cock. The cock was sitting on branch of a tall tree.

The fox saw the cock and came under the tree. The fox said, "Good morning Mr. cock. You are my friend. Please come down. I give you a good news about the day". The cock said, "Good morning Mr. fox. What is the good news?"

Now the fox said, "All the animals want to live in peace with one another". "Yes, yes you are right" said the cock.

The clever cock understood that the fox wanted to eat him. So, it said, "oh! that is really a good news. I can see a pack of hounds coming this way".

The cunning fox said, "Please excuse me. I am going. I shall tell you after". So the fox ran away.
