Rabindranath Tagore

Rabindranath Tagore is one of the great sons of mother India. He is a poet, a painter, patriot. But we know him as a poet.

He was born at Jorasanko in Kolkata in 1861. He father is Debendranath and mother is Sarada Devi. From his childhood he begins to write poems. He writes many poems and songs. He writes many books for the children. In 1913 he gets Nobel prize for his literature 'Gitanjali'. He thinks about the education. so, he founds Viswabharati at Santiniketan, 1902. He loved the country and countrymen. This great poet dies in 1941. He is always present in our hearts.
