Suppose you organised s function in your school to honour the memory of Rabindranath Tagore

The 150th birth anniversary of Rabindra Nath Tagore, the world poet as well as Noble laureate, was dignifiedly celebrated by our school on the auspicious 25 Baisakh. The celebration was observed in two phases. On the morning a 'Prabhat Pheri' was organized. The students, teachers, local club, patrons and other distinguished persons took part in this programme. They sang Rabindra Sangeet, enchanted poems etc. In the evening session a cultural programme was convened. The venue of the programme was arranged at Rabindra Bhaban. The D.I of schools Kolkata region graced the occasion as president and Manishankar Mukhopadhyay an eminent person in literature graced the occasion as chief guest. The dias was ornamentaly decorated with shola and flowers. A half best photo frame of the poet with garland created a clam and soothing ambience. The ceremony opened with vedic hymns. Then series of programmes were staged. In their speeches both of them stressed on the ideology of Rabindra Nath and its importance on present trends. The most attraction, of the second session was two short plays viz 'Dhkghar' and 'Pethe khele pithe sai'. The characters played by the students earned the applause of the audience. The ceremony was curtained, at half past time vote of thanks to the chair and audience given by the headmaster.
