Rabindranath Tagore
Rabindranath was a great poet. He was born at Jorasanko in Kolkata on 7th May in 1861. His father name was Maharshi Debendranath Tagore. Rabindranath had a short period of schooling in Oriental Seminary. Later, he left school. He wrote poems from his very childhood. He also wrote songs, short stories and novels. Painting was his passion. He won Nobel Prize for Gitanjali. Rabindranath started a school at Santiniketan. Later, it became a University. The poet died on 7th August in 1941.
